Baby Products Part 2 (Everything I Bought + Reviews)

And so continues the list of products I have purchased for my newborn. Everyday I will review ten of the products I have purchased. I attempted to do them all at once in a post but, when I realized I had over 40+ products to review that seemed very un-doable between breastfeeding, diaper changing, and baby time. So I am breaking it down into 4 posts. Here is part one Baby Products Part 1 (Everything I Bought+Reviews) Please contact me about anything at all at anytime and I will respond the same day! And again, I have rated each product with ♥’s total being 5. Enjoy!

  • Bio-Oil (2 oz 9.44$ @ Wal-Mart & 4.2 oz 15.994 @ Wal-Mart) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
If you are pregnant or even after pregnancy and want something to get a hold on those IMG_20171216_073846376-2.jpgstretch marks/c-section scars this is your answer!  I lived in this stuff while I was pregnant and I am happy to admit I never once had a stretch mark. Not before, Not after! It just soaks right into your skin. Highly recommend this product. You can purchase it at just about any drug store in a small or larger bottle. It also smells really good!
  • Munchkin wipe warmer (24.99$ @ Babys-R-Us) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I love my wipe warmers, I love them so much that I purchased 3 of them. A traveling one that plugs into the car, one for downstairs, and one for the nursery. Most moms will tell you this a luxury item but for how cheap they are (I got all of mine used for under 10$) I think it’s totally worth getting. Babies absolutely hate the cold. They hate being undressed, they hate getting diapers changed, and for the most part they hate baths. Rowan ESPECIALLY hates ALL of these things (which sucks for me because I want to put all those cute outfits on him!). So, toIMG_20171216_073102945.jpg make life easier for me and for him I invested in a wipe warmer; he loved it. It has made all the difference in our diaper changing sessions. He actually enjoys them now, not fussing at all. This particular wipe warmer is my favorite of the three that I purchased. It has a light you can turn on to see how many wipes are left. It is amazing. Don’t listen to moms who say this is a waste of money, find a used one at a consignment store and spend the ten bucks to make not only your life easier but your little one happier.

  • Pampers Swaddlers ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I personally am partial to these diapers over all the other ones. They fit him snug, come IMG_20171216_225130527.jpgin cute little patterns and they have velcro to attach IMG_20171216_225157066.jpgtogether. Super easy, super comfy, and fits just right on all babies. In all my research I discovered the cheapest way to get them was through amazon and they deliver them monthly to your front door! You don’t even have to put them on your list because they arrive at your door. How awesome is that? Yes, please!

  • Moby Wrap  (49.99$ @ Target) ♥ ♥ ♥

Let me start with saying I am all about baby carriers. Especially ones that keep the little guy close to me. And just so you know carrying a baby in one of these counts as tummy time! So that’s an added bonus! If you want to know more about what tummy time is head over to that blog post. I feel like I have purchased every baby carrier under the sky. I have two moby wraps, a baby k’tan, a sweatshirt with a carrier attached, the lalabu soothe shirt, and the tula baby carrier (as opposed to the ergo one). Seeing as it’s only day 13 I have only used two of these thus far. Those being the moby wrap and the baby k’tan because I really want to be a wrap mama. I am more of a hippie at heart and these just scream hippie to me. That being said, I am here to tell you so far I am not digging the IMG_20171216_225033404.jpgmoby wrap at all. For one, it has so much fabric and when I say that I mean tons and tons. It drags the floor when I am trying to put it on. I know I am a short woman (5’2) but I don’t know a woman tall enough to keep this from hitting the floor while putting it on. This limits where I will go with it because I can’t put it on outside or in a store. I don’t mind assembling it while in my house but other than that it’s pretty much a dud. It is difficult to put it on in the car again, because of the long fabric. I am still trying to give it a chance because maybe I just haven’t gotten it down yet or maybe little Row is just too small right now. I spent extra on one of my moby’s to get the print I wanted so I still am keeping my fingers crossed. If you are going to purchase a wrap I would go with the baby k’tan. Not only is it cheaper but it is super user-friendly and no extra fabric to worry about. You can read my review on that in the next baby products blog post. So unfortunately because of all that fabric I am giving this product three ♥’s for now. Maybe I will change my mind in the future but currently I am not liking this product one bit.

  • Laura Ashley Diaper backpack (55.99$ @ Babys-R-Us) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I didn’t mean to end up with two diaper bags but somehow I forgot to take one-off of my IMG_20171216_073329714.jpgregistry and ended up with both of the ones I wanted. Not complaining because whoIMG_20171216_073324473.jpg doesn’t need an extra diaper bag? I like this one because it is a backpack but still fits the same amount of stuff as my smaller one. The biggest pro to this one is that it has a diaper dispenser on the side which comes in super-duper handy when you are on the go. Here are the features:

  1. Multi pockets for excellent organization.
  2. Pop up Wipes case pocket easily dispenses wipe.
  3. Protective PVC & metal feet to protect the bottom of the bag
  4. Adjustable backpack straps plus stroller clips to hang bag from stroller bar.
  • Target Brand Nursing Pads (8.41$) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

If you are going to be a breast-feeding mama then you will need to invest in some IMG_20171216_224436699.jpgnursing pads so you don’t look like me walking around World Market with a leaky boobIMG_20171216_224411325.jpg and soaking shirt. If you are feeding your baby on one side the other side will leak, so keep that in mind! I know there a bunch of “top name” brands that sell nursing pads, but hey I am about saving some moolah and these do the trick just fine. I am very pleased with these and would definitely recommend them. Don’t waste your money on the upper brand for something that no one sees, go ahead and purchase the Target brand. I would even get the Wal-Mart brand if they sell them! I just shop at Target more frequently so these are what I ended up with!

  • Simlac Pre-Made Formula (8.49$ @ Walgreens for 8 2oz. bottles) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

So, like you all know I was anti breastfeeding at the beginning of this journey. It wasn’t until two weeks before delivery that my aunt convinced me otherwise. I have never looked back. Check on my blog To Breastfeed or Not? That is the Question! to hear my story and maybe get you to think twice before you choose formula. BUT, if you are going to be feeding by way of IMG_20171216_224928765.jpgformula this is the best option. It is what I used the first two days of being home from the hospital and what I used while I was in the hospital for four days with Row. I know you can get formula in powder form, but why not just go ahead and get pre-made bottles that you just pop a nipple on and are ready to go? While I was doing the formula thing (shaking my head at myself as I write that) this was my best friend and made life so much easier. I would 100% recommend this brand and this particular bottle form of formula if you choose to go that route.

  • Summer Infant Bath Tub (13.99$ @ Target) VERDICT OUT

I will have to come back to review this, I have not given Rowan a bath yet. Now that I say IMG_20171216_224539428.jpgthat I feel it is about that time. He spit up all over himself today and had an explosive diaper that got all over his little legs. So, maybe I can review this tomorrow? 🙂

  • Bumbo Floor Seat & Tray (44.99 @ Bed Bath & Beyond) VERDICT OUT

I have heard and read nothing but amazing things about this product. I have yet to use this since Rowan doesn’t have the ability to hold up his head yet but, I can’t wait until I am able to! Just from looking at it there are quite a few positives I see already. It is very portable, even while a baby is in it. It is made of soft, mushy rubber that is not only comfortable for baby but is IMG_20171216_225108204.jpgalso very easy to keep clean. It is contoured to fit his little legs in perfectly andIMG_20171216_225058058.jpg comfortably. The tray is just an added bonus. I will be able to give him snacks, dinner, heck this could even be his high chair if I so choose. I will be back to give a review once I am actually able to use it but I foresee this being one of my favorite, can’t live without products that I have purchased.

That’s it for my review on Baby Products Part 2! Tomorrow I will have part 3 up so you can head on over there to check out the next 10 items on my list of products I have purchased for my newborn! Check out what is working for me and what isn’t, what I have can’t live without and what I could. And feel free to contact me or comment with any questions you have. I am more than happy to help ALL mama’s out there new and old! Thanks for reading! Find out more about Me ♥
